It is platinum topped 14k yellow gold

The flowers were originally part of an vintage 18k gold pin (circa 1940-1960) that we deconstructed and made into two pairs of earrings with 14k gold posts

This outstanding antique piece (circa 1900-1915) bears the maker's mark for the renowned Whiteside & Blank Co

and it is in great condition with a chip to one of the opals (visible under magnification)
