Desert Marigold 20x24 inches home Maple Wood Canvas Floater Frame:Its a colorful spring here in the desert after a damp, rainy winter. The plants are exploding colors of green, yellow, purple, pink, white, red and orange. I picked yellow flowers from a Desert Marigold bush growing in our yard to make a still life. I arranged them in a green glass with some Pink Muhly grasses and snapped some reference photos while the sun was hot and shadows were strong. In my painting, I used saturated warm hues to make the flowers
