I also zoomed in to the holiday lights and played with the focus to get the above effect for the image

It was a balance of finding the right break in the clouds as well as an interesting scene to photograph and when a small clearing occurred captured this image

One question I always get with the project is "Why November

In the past five years I have explored many places around Denver and the western United States as part of this project

By positioning my camera so there were angles in the photo instead of straight on provided a stronger image to me

Denver from the State Capitol in the Fall Presentation:Print Only I also zoomed in toIn November 2015 during a brief snow in Denver I headed towards Civic Center Park to photograph. As the snow tapered off the foothills started to become visible in the distance. With the fresh snow on the grass and the fall color in the leaves I found myself on the capitol steps to capture this image west through Civic Center Park towards the City and County of Denver building.
