This morning at Lake McDonald is was quite foggy which gave a different then the view quite common across the lake

I had driven by Regis University a few times and decided to stop by today as I was thinking of a location to explore this morning

however usually by Memorial Day Weekend it is open again connecting Estes Park with Grand Lake

The overcast conditions this morning provided a great backdrop for the iceberg and exploring on the waters of Hall Bredning

It was still nice to get out and watch the first morning of the year start with Denver as a backdrop

On this morning with the difference in temperature between the water and the air steam formed right at sunrise but soon burned off as the sun climbed in the sky. Just as I was about to leave this location, a flock of birds flew into the frame for a few seconds which I was able to capture.
