Utilizing two separate internal wheels with 5 positions each, the CenterLine avoids telescope balancing issues caused by traditional asymmetric filter wheel designs. Typically one position in each carousel is empty, providing 8 usable positions. Some users place two optical elements in the path, for example, a filter and a polarizer.
